Eccentric Jazz Musicians

Here are some silly sketches of eccentric jazz musicians I drew for fun. They're all playing avant-garde jazz, I'm pretty sure they have no idea what they're doing. They perform on street corners because no club will tolerate their noise. Just a bunch of rag tag kooky cats.

The Odyssey of Blue Boy

Howdy Folks!

I'm super stoked to tell you about my friend Joe Garber's new graphic novel project, the Odyssey of Blue Boy! The story follows the adventures of Blue Boy as he undertakes a mysterious epic journey. But the really great part, aside from Joe's fantastic illustrations, is that it's a big experimental collaboration. Each week, he illustrates a chapter of the story based on ideas submitted by readers. This week, Joe illustrated a chapter I wrote! Needless to say, I highly recommend you check it out. And, if you feel so inspired, join in the fun and submit a chapter of your own.

Commission: Vegetables, Owls, and a Monkey

Howdy Howdy!

Last month, I was commissioned to do a piece for a young tot named Zhora. The client told me Zhora's room is decorated mainly with vegetables, owls, and Binky J, her favorite monkey. I had a bushel of fun incorporating those elements and drawing this piece. I hope Zhora, who is two years old, will enjoy it.

Here are some of the preliminary sketches, I drew a few different layouts and designed some vegetables characters.
